SENSEI SUBIR MAZUMDER

Handle with care is probably something that we do not usually associate with martial arts. However, that is exactly what I aspire to do as Sensei. I believe my experience with students (toddlers to college-goers and even adults) as karate instructor since 2003 has equipped me with the skills to provide personalized training even when instructing large groups. All lessons are best learnt when fear is not a factor and when students are inspired and not terrorized to reach their goals.

I have been training students for district-, state-, and national-level competitions for almost a decade now. I enjoy working with children and nothing gives me more joy than to watch my students win important competitions. I believe my understanding of children and their requirements make me sensitive to the students’ needs.

I am sure that by learning Karate, students will learn to use their strength to protect and not destroy, to mould and not injure themselves and others and to conquer and not instill fear. Students will learn to be self-respecting, responsible citizens of the world.”
